Use a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

For dual-band routers, split the bands into 2.4GHz and 5GHz then connecting to 2.4GHz.

🎯 How to Connect to the Network

👉 Method 1:

Open the top cover of the robot vacuum and locate the QR code.
Open the app → Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner to add a device → Tap the QR code scanning icon in the upper right corner.
Scan the QR code with your phone.

👉 Method 2:

Open the app → Tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner to add a device → Find your device in the device list.
Follow the on-screen instructions:

① Connect the base station to power and place it in an area with strong Wi-Fi signal.

②Turn on the robot and place it on/connect it to the base station.

（For certain models: ③ Press and hold the power button + home button + charge button for 3 seconds to make the robot enter pairing mode.)
Turn on Bluetooth.
Enter your Wi-Fi name and password.

Possible Status Scenarios

1. "Wi-Fi Connection Failed" prompt appears

2. Robot indicates successful connection, but the App shows disconnected
Basic Device Check

Ensure the robot and base station are properly powered on. (For the first use, place the robot into the base station with the mop facing inward to start up, and confirm the base station can operate the robot normally.)

Make sure the Wi-Fi is 2.4G (5G is not be supported). Enable Bluetooth and location services on your phone (iOS requires enabling Precise Location), and grant the app corresponding permissions in your phone settings.
APP Network Configuration

Open the Narwal Freo APP, tap the "+" icon at the top right, select the device type to enter the configuration page, and follow the in-APP prompts (no need to connect Bluetooth via phone settings – complete the process directly in the APP). Try configuring the network multiple times to avoid single-operation errors.

If configuration fails, first check your home network connectivity. Move the robot closer to the router or restart the router, then try again.

Test with a mobile hotspot from another phone, if successful, the issue may stem from your router’s filter policies, signal blocking, or band restrictions (check settings like blacklists or AP isolation).
If the issue persists, contact support.

Ensure that the Bluetooth of the mobile phone and the Bluetooth permission of the APP are enabled properly.

(Just turn on Bluetooth, no other additional operations are required)
Restart the robot and the APP, then retry.
Try replacing with another mobile phone device if needed.

For iOS 14 or above, users need to enable the "Location" permission and "Precise Location" permission.
Restart or replace the mobile phone device if needed.

Please turn on "Maximize Compatibility" on the Personal Hotspot settings page.

Settings > Personal Hotspot > Toggle on Allow Others to Join > Set a WLAN Password > Toggle on "Maximize Compatibility"

This device is region-locked, and using devices across regions is not supported. (Do You Support Cross-Border Delivery?)

If you see this prompt, it means you’re using it outside the purchased region. If not, please contact support to provide a video that illustrate:

1. Robot’s SN code
2. Map app location (current position).

To capture hotspot status changes while using the Narwal app, you can perform the entire process on one device: simply start screen recording, then switch between the Narwal app and your system settings to enable/disable hotspot as needed. The recording will continue in the background, allowing you to document both the app interface and system status changes without requiring a second phone. Ensure the hotspot toggle and app response are visible in the recording for accurate troubleshooting.
When contacting support, please provide the robot's SN and the App ID.
